Peaceful, idyllic and full of character. Belmond Jimbaran Puri is a classic experience that takes you back in time, like back in the 70s Bali vibe.
Jimbaran is located on the beachfront, our drive takes us through a narrow and dark alley interwoven with various temples. A small road turns around, signaling our arrival at the property. A small wooden bridge leads us to a small pond to reach the lobby.

After a smooth check in, we were escorted to our luxury beachfront room. The room has a small garden and outdoor shower. To the right was the entrance into the room; a large space polished with cold marble, a magnificent facade of woods and a high lofty ceiling.
The beautiful bathroom with the iconic terrazzo sunken bath is very welcome, but our favorite is the small door next to the dining table that leads to a private area overlooking the green fields and ocean of our property. This is the defining atmosphere of Belmond Jimbaran.
In the late afternoon we took a short walk to Nelayan, a restaurant on Belmond beach. Facing directly west with Mount Jimbaran to your left and the airport to your right, this is a wonderful place to enjoy quaint sunsets. Pre-pandemic, you still have this much of Belmond’s feeling that made this place really special. You should have more airplanes flying in and out of Bali in the distance as your view 🙂
As the nightsky replaces the colors of the warm sunset, we sit down to dinner. In the spirit of Jimbaran’s famous seafood, we opted for salmon tartare, grilled snapper, and pasta with crab meat. That last meal is probably one of the best seafood pastas in Bali!

From the luxurious hardwood accents of our luxury cottages to the gentle lap waves on our beach, every detail adds to the iconic experience that Belmond offers. It is certainly not to be omitted; Located next to the airport, it made this the perfect final stop for any trip to Bali.
To love
