On 26 & 27 May 2023Bulgari Resort Bali will welcome Martin Villareal and Mohamed Rudi from Singapore Republic Bar shake it up Bulgarian Bar No. Ranked 12th in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2012, Cocktail Republic is inspired by the pop culture ideas of the 1960s.
While the 60-year decade was marked by a cultural and social revolution, it saw the rise of style icons and legends of rock music, as well as international jets, which led to an era of sophisticated cocktailing. As such, Republic Bar infuses era art, film, fashion and music into its mixology creations. Singapore’s decade is equally significant, when the Republic of Singapore was declared independent on August 9, 1965, and so some cocktails nod to Singapore’s own icons of the era. In the bar or stocks vintage of spirits from the 1960s, for those who gravitate toward liquid history.
The Bulgarian Mixology Symposium they will be Bulgarian Bar High on the limestone cliffs of Uluwatu, the Bulgari Bar is an exclusive box seat for the best view of Bali: sunsets over the Indian Ocean. The open air lounge is stylish and cosy. The ellipse of the peripatetic arch of the bar in the Bulgari hotel in Milan recalls the bar of black resin, with a strong central part: a sculpture of stone artists cut by nature in the course of the river.
Here in this exclusive local break, the Republic Bar will prepare four of its signatures, the Fab Four, Georgette, and Quisque Suit, each nodding to the concept of the decade. These will be prepared by Martin Villareal, Minister of State of the Republic.
Why Bulgarian Public Cooperation? Well, the 1960s were a couple of decades in Bulgari’s own necklace history, where actresses like Elizabeth Taylor became synonymous with the jeweler’s collection. So, this decade’s tribute to curated cocktails is sure to be a celebration of both brands they can drink.
