CHEF’S WAGYU LIST AT OFYR GRILL RESTAURANT
Wagyu beef is the best type of beef, prized for its rich flavor, tenderness, and high degree of marbling. Marmation refers to the distribution of fat within the meat, which results in a texture in your mouth and an enhanced taste.
Wagyu beef is characterized by a number of factors, including breed and place of origin. MB (Marbling Score) is one of the methods used to grade wagyu beef in Japan. The MB system ranges from 1 to 12, with higher numbers indicating more marbles. MB 4-5 is considered good quality wagyu beef, but not the highest grade. MB 6-7 and above, wagyu beef is considered the highest quality, with an exceptionally high degree of marbling.
If you are interested in trying wagyu beef, it can be found in high end restaurants and specialty food shops. Be prepared to pay a premium price, as wagyu beef is known to be expensive. However, many believe that the rich flavor and tender texture are well worth the investment.
