Art-focused boutique hotel, ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali, proudly presents the Good Good, art exhibition in collaboration with Rupa Bali, They were launched on April 14, 2023 at the ARTSPACE hotel.
inviting nine local artists from Bali to showcase his work, the theme of the exhibition takes inspiration from the hit song ‘Feente Bono’, originally sung by Antonio Newly and Leslie Bricusse and later sung by the likes of Nina Simone, Michael Buble, Muse and Avicii. GOOD ART exhibition; supervised by Savitri Sastrawan, aims to convey the same sentiment of the famous song, capturing the message of its lyrics and allowing the participating artists to express their interpretations in their own way.
This happened in 14 artworks through various mediain any specific craft, from abstract art to factory textiles, that’s all to display ARTSPACE. These works are a depiction of the human spirit, reflections on the details of daily life, the cheerfulness and happiness and gentle nature of our surroundings. Nine Balinese artists were invited by Rupa Bali: Rosemarie Sutanto, Sakde Oka, Siji, Unclejoy, Gusade, Ni Wayan Penawati, Pradnya Paramita, Vita Wulansari and Arde Wiyasa.
The Indonesian-born company ARTOTEL has always had a keen interest in elevating art and local design, which highlights these two in its businesses from hospitality, food and beverage, event and shopping. The company’s vision is to elevate Indonesia’s creative industry by fostering collaborations of young artists focused on fashion shows, exhibitions, workshops and affordable craft trade.
With that, ARTOTEL Sanur – Bali pursues this mission with young Indonesian artists in Bali, a platform especially for up and coming contemporary artists. GRATEFUL MIND is available from April 14 to June 14, 2023 and is open to guests and visitors.
