Own coffee producer, Expat. Roasters, collaborates with the manufacturer of plant-based milk, OATSIDE, to organize War of the Baristas, the largest sustainable plant-based barista competition in Indonesia, where the raw materials in the competition come from plants, including oat milk and coffee beans.
Fight the baristas hundreds of Indonesian baristas from across the archipelago will be showing off their prowess and creativity, competing to win the biggest prize pool ever offered in an Indonesian coffee competition with a. total value over IDR 100 million.
Comprised of three rounds, the first round of the Battle of the Baristas will take place online, while the next two rounds will take place in Bali and Surabaya. The first round begins on May 15, 2023, where participants must see their skill at creating a latte in the shape of an expat swan. Roaster coffee and milk OATSIDE with a maximum duration of 1 minute and 20 seconds. The 16 participants with the highest scores will advance to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals will be live on July 7, 2023 in Luber Bali. 16 participants must show their innovation in art and signature drink creation, with only 6 participants advancing. Last round on July 21, 2023 Expat. Roasters Surabayathe last 6 must mix the sealing potion using the ingredients from the mystery box. The grand prize winner will receive a La Marzocco Line Mini coffee machine, a trophy, a certificate, and an Expat. Roaster and OATSIDE products with a value of over IDR 100 million.
