2 Islands of New Sparkling Scirasium Releases

Adding to the already impressive range, Indonesian Wine II has released its all-new sparkling Shiraz, making it a grand total of 10 varieties in its collection.

The wines of the two islands are vinified here in Bali using premium grapes sourced from South Australia. A sparkling new Shiraz made using grapes from our own vineyards in the Padthaway & Barossa valleys, a delicious modern Australian wine. James Kalleske Winemaker and his team at the helm of the winery have worked for 29 years on the wine to create something truly special. Sparkling Shiraz is aged in French oak barrels for 9 months, before undergoing a 12-month secondary fermentation using the French ‘Méthode Traditionelle’, which gives it its delicate bubbles. The result is a rich and fruity sparkling wine, suitable for the climate here in Bali.

For those who know their wines, their middle body is sparkling, with notes of warming spices, red compote, vanilla custard, mint leaves in spices; and ripe berries, white musky, fresh acidity, light, but balanced by sweetness on the palate. This wine is complex, fruity and slightly sweet, as this classic Australian wine should be. The wine is said to pair well with: cheese, duck breast, taurine peppers, black pepper beef, blueberry danish and chocolate brownies!

Founded by Ida Bagus Rai Budarsa – the man behind the sister brand, Hatten Wines – 2 islands began producing in 2007 with the last four wines. The aim was to import an adequate supply of quality products at a better price than any other imported transport. “This new wine is outstanding in flavor and quality,” shares IB. Rai Budarsa. “The demand for quality sparkling wine at an affordable price has encouraged us to develop this wine. We make it our priority to source the best grapes from South Australia and ensure that our wine is the best in every way,” adds the founder.
