Todd BenderOne of the fastest growing segments of the outdoor recreation industry is that of the clay target shooting sports. Clay target sports offer participation for people of all ages and abilities, and are as much a relaxing social activity as they are a highly skilled and competitive endeavor. Clay target shooting is divided into three separate disciplines of skeet, trap and sporting clays. Each discipline has governing bodies, the National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA), the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA), and the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA). There are also divisions for International and Olympic Clay Target. The National Governing Body (NGB) for International and Olympic shooting in the United States is “USA Shooting”, which is chartered by the US Olympic Committee, with headquarters at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.

US Navy SEAL Foundation Challenge

Since 9/11, the Navy SEAL Foundation has mourned the loss of many of our NSW warriors in the Global War on Terror. On any given day, throughout the world, members of the NSW community put their lives on the line to defend our freedom. The Navy SEAL Foundation is exclusively dedicated to supporting them and their families.

The Navy SEAL Foundation provides tragedy assistance for families who have lost a loved one in training or combat, and award scholarships and provide educational assistance to active duty personnel, their spouses, and children. Other examples of support include immediate assistance for families of NSW active-duty members that are wounded or killed in combat or training, memorial services, assistance related to active duty or dependent terminal illness, and assistance in times of natural disaster.

Starting with the 2012 shooting season, Todd Bender will begin his “Hundred for a Hundred” campaign, and donate $100 for every perfect 100 straight that he shoots in competition to the Navy SEAL Foundation, and Todd encourages all of his clients and friends in the shooting community to pledge a matching amount, or any amount based on the number of 100 straights that he shoots during 2012. You can contact Todd directly at bendershima@aol.com for more details on this fundraising drive and how to direct funds from Todd Bender to the Foundation. Please band together with Todd, to support those who give the ultimate sacrifice to support us.
